Partner Charities

The Illinois Alumni Tournament donates its proceeds to our partner charities who in return volunteer their support for the event. Below is a list of the 2019 partner charities.


The mission of Chapter 5 is to help athletes discover their new purpose and transition into life after the game. Chapter 5 aims to alleviate the period of mental anguish by providing education, information and support on the many development periods that we feel are essential to having a successful transition.



The Westside Foundation is a 501c3 charity that provides resources to children with developmental disabilities whose families struggle financially. The foundation helps families get the services, support, and equipment that they need to maximize the quality of life of their children. The Westside Foundation aims to maximize the potential of every child it serves. 


The Chicago Hockey Initiative endeavors to support youth health and education initiatives in Chicagoland through direct volunteerism, events fundraising, and community outreach. The Chicago Hockey Initiative was founded in 2011 and granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2014. The CHI Board of Directors is a working board staffed solely by volunteers who want to give back to the game that has given so much to them.  The CHI is supported by private donations, corporate partnerships, and foundation grants. 100% of proceeds are invested in nonprofit programming.
